Already rules regarding drug safety, auto safety and homeland security have been impacted by the Bush Administration action, impacting the health and safety of Americans.

The right of Americans to seek justice through the courts is a cornerstone of our democracy. Not only does it allow citizens to seek justice on a level playing field when they are facing powerful interests, it also acts as a powerful incentive for industry to value the health and safety of American citizens over corporate profits. Steps taken by the Bush Administration serve to deny Americans access to their state courts. I urge you to take the action necessary to halt this dangerous campaign.
